Christmas Break

Over Christmas break I am doing absolutely nothing. I dont think we're doing anything special other than gathering up with everyone at one person's house on Christmas Eve. If we are doing/going anywhere we find out the day of and go with it. Oh, but I am going to my bestfriend Oluchukwu house. Other than that I will be on complete chill mode not worried about anything.

College

What I hope to accomplish by going to college is getting all my degrees to become a pediatrician. I'm going to college for myself. I want to have a well paying job to provide for my family and most of all just be successful overall. What characteristics matters most when choosing a college is finding a college that specials in what you want to be. I would seek some of my teachers and some of my family members for input about college. So they could tell me what i need to look forward to and what challenges I would face in college. I would probably try to find a pediatrician to talk to and find about more information. College with help me achieve my goals because without college i can't be a pediatrician. There's no way to be a pediatrician without going to college and getting the degrees i need , so that's how college would help.

Thanksgiving Break

My plans for over Thanksgiving break is to spend time with lul Brit, my family and eat up all the good ol food... I do plan on going out and shopping a little on black Friday though. Other than that I will be inside chillen, watching Netflix, laying in my comfortable bed. I do hope that everyone has a Wonderful Thanksgiving!!!
 

The job I found was Jack in the Box because it is appropriate for my age and experience. What I would do to prepare for a possible interview is first fill out an application and wait for them to call me in for an interview. I wouldn't just go into the interview any type of way, I would look the part and speak properly and show respect. I always wanted to like work at a fast food place because I think it would be fun to watch the different things they have to do in the kitchen. I don't like to cook so I would much rather work the cash register. It is very difficult finding a job online. Sometimes the job you really want may not be hiring and other jobs that ARE hiring you may not like or want. You must have patience with finding a job online because its not easy.

Homeless to Harvard

Homeless to Harvard was a very interesting movie. I think that it was very motivating that you can do anything you put your mind to. That anything is possible. I have never heard or seen this movie before but it changed the way i view certain things. Everyone goes through a struggle with different things and not everyone has food to eat everyday or a place to just lay their head at night. My favorite part of the movie is when Liz finally decided to go back to school and finish her education. Even with her being homeless she didn't let it stop her. She was strong through it all and with that dedication she got into Harvard. I admire her for her hard work and dignity.

Budget

The thing that surprised me most was the prices. Like I knew it was going to be allot but if you add everything up its crazy. I didn't expect it to be as high as it was but it ended up at a number I didn't expect. Now that I know or have an idea of how it'll be when the time comes, I will prepare by saving. Usually money goes through my hand like water because I'm a girl you know, and I like to shop and spend money. Now I have to put that on hold and start saving because I see that its not a joke. So yeah getting a job and saving will definitely be how I will prepare for the expenses.

Career Choice

My top career choice is being a Pediatrician. I've always had a passion for kids. They make me happy with their little laughs and smiles and it just brings joy to my day. I've been babysitting and working with kids for a while so I decided why not take care of them to. It'll be a long 8 years in college but it'll be worth it.

One major thing that stresses me out is when im trying to do homework and my parents keep calling me. They would either call me to do the kitchen or do other stuff that I could do when im finish with my work. Its so constant so when I keep having to go back and forth, I get so frustrated that I just don't want to do anything. So i start catching attitudes. Now how I deal with it is, I just completely shut myself in my room for about an hour and take a hot shower so when I get out I feel refreshed, attitude free and can start back doing what I need to do.

I don't really have an organizational method. Most of the times I remember everything that I need to get done or put it in my notes on my phone.  Procrastination hurts because once you wait until the last minute, it usually doesn't turn out how you expected it to be. I can fight procrastination by doing what I need to do right away than waiting until the last minute and being disappointed. 

About Myself

Well .... I am Ashley-Nicole. My first priority is to graduate from high school. I do plan on learning allot from this class and attending college. My college choices as of now are UNT,Texas ATM, Texas Tech and UT Austin.
